The Extraordinary Ice Circus
The art form was seen for the first time in 1964 when one of the world’s most famous circus art directors, Mr Arnold G. Arnold, presented viewers in Russia to a circus on ice. By fusing the skills of figure skating masters, and those of professional circus artists a new genre of circus act had materialised.
Performing on an ice ring makes the show even more dynamic and provides new possibilities for outstanding choreography. The complete diversity of the performance makes this unique circus cross all age boundaries, from the gaping child through to their grandparents.
Almost all disciplines known to the traditional circus are represented in this performance. Even the simplest trick looks more difficult, is more dangerous and even more spectacular when done by artists on skates.
The Extraordinary Ice Circus has been awing audiences throughout the world.
Sergey Ryshkoff created a new exciting show on ice. With the benefit of 30 years experience of artistic experience as a director and performer Sergey has been able to continually re-create and re-invent the circus.
This independently owned circus is unique in the world.
This circus had it’s debut in 1993 and has since performed in Canada, Monte Carlo, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Japan, USA, England, Scotland, Russia, Netherlands, Korea, France, Argentina, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Portugal, Germany and Spain.
